When you think of Sindang-dong's Tteokbokki Town, DIY tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes simmered right at your table) usually comes to mind first. But Ujeong Tteokbokki, the spot we visited this time, is actually better known for its chicken feet, despite the name. Look around the dining room and you'll see chicken feet on almost every table.
Bottom line: the punchy, addictive heat was so good that I'm already itching to go back! That said, the wait is massive and seating is tight, so knowing these two things in advance will make your visit much more comfortable.

Tips for Enjoying Ujeong's Chicken Feet
The standout feature of Ujeong's chicken feet is a fiery kick that keeps you reaching for more. The heat hits you right after the first bite, but it's not just harsh — it's the kind of craveable flavor that makes you want another piece right away. If spicy food is your go-to stress reliever, this is exactly your style.

Be sure to add enoki mushrooms, yaki-mandu (crispy fried dumplings), and bean sprouts as extras.
(If you can't handle much heat, I'd suggest ordering a double portion of bean sprouts.)
Oh!!!!!!!!!!! And you know skipping the jumeokbap (seasoned rice balls) with chicken feet is basically cheating, right?
We asked for a half-mild, half-spicy mix, and it turned out to be about as hot as Buldak (Korea's famous fire noodles).

Since it's inside Tteokbokki Town, they serve tteokbokki too, but the real star here is the chicken feet. If it's your first visit, don't overthink it — just like I said above, I recommend starting with the chicken feet.

Wait Times & Atmosphere at Ujeong Tteokbokki
Ujeong Tteokbokki has a seriously long line. Even within Tteokbokki Town, this is often the only shop with a queue stretching out front, so give yourself plenty of time.
Maybe because the next day was a public holiday, we were 19th in line as of 6:20 PM.
We got in after about an hour! The restaurant has two floors, so tables turn over at a decent pace.

And sure enough, once it passed 7 PM the line kept getting longer.

The space is on the cramped side, so tables are set close together. It's less suited to a quiet date or a long sit-down chat and more of a place where spice-loving friends dig in, enjoy the burn, and head out. We also noticed lots of international visitors. Since Sindang-dong Tteokbokki Town is a popular stop on many tourist routes, plenty of people seemed to be there to try authentic Korean heat.

While waiting out front, what convinced me it's a legit hotspot was seeing how many TV shows had featured it. Standing there smelling the chicken feet was the happiest yet hungriest moment..!

Inside, the tables are packed closer together than you'd expect ^^;
Still, eating was perfectly comfortable, so I definitely recommend it!

I'd recommend it for days when you want to sweat out your stress with spicy food, or if you'd like to try something a little different in Tteokbokki Town. The flavor keeps popping into our heads, so we're 100% coming back 🔥
